(“Siegfried Mynhardt Company, The”). Founded by actor and director Siegfried Mynhardt in 1942, under the patronage of the Reddingsdaadbond (an Afrikaner support group from the **) to tour with Die Rooi Pruik ("The Red Wig") and an Afrikaans translation of Ladies in Retirement (starring Berdine Grünewald and Lydia Lindeque). The group was so successful that they were taken up North by the UDF Entertainment Unit to entertain the South African troups.
