Sergeant Taylor (fl. mid 19th century) was a British soldier in the 99th Regiment (Lanarkshire), and an amateur performer.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

While stationed in Cape Town in the years 1868-1869, he was a founding member of the Lanarkshire Dramatic Club and a hardworking performer, who specialized in female roles.
