Sello Sebotsane (1970- ) is a South African stage, television and film actor, best known for his starring role as the sensitive rugby player, Philane, in the SABC2 sitcom Stokvel, from 2006-2012.

Biography

Born in Tshwane on 23 October 1970. He is married to actress and fashion designed Shoki Sebotsane.

n actor best known for his starring role as Philane, a sensitive rugby player, in the SABC2 sitcom Stokvel, from 2006-2012.

He also starred as Bhekumuzinsizwe "The General" Letswalo, an incompetent security guard stuck in the struggle years, in the SABC2 sitcom Home Sweet Home, in 2011.

He joined the cast of the SABC2 parliamentary drama series 90 Plein Street in 2011, in the starring role of George Motha.

He also had a two-episode recurring role as in the SABC3 drama series One Way, in 2006. In 2007 Sebotsane starred in the SABC2 Afrikaans dramedy Andries Plak, which premiered in April.




Other television series he has acted in include Erfsondes, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, CI5: The New Professionals, Isidingo, Backstage, Scoop Schoombie, SOS, Madam and Eve, Hidden City, Egoli and Safe as Hauser's.
