Scott Sparrow (19**-). Actor and physical theatre performer.

Biography

He was born in Zimbabwe.

Training

Studied at Rhodes University Drama Department.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student he directed a production of Berkoff's East in 2005.

Scott wrote and performed in The Performers Travel Guide (NAF 2006).

Performed in Women Beware Women (Little Theatre, 2007), The Merchant of Venice (as Bassanio, Maynardville 2008), Buried Child (2008), The Zoo Story (2008, 2009), Elizabeth (Little Theatre, 2009), Decadence (2010), The Real Inspector Hound (2011), A Lie of the Mind (2011).

His TV debut was as the Sargeant in the M-Net mini-series Ella Blue (2008).

Awards, etc.

In 2011 he was nominated in the category "New Directors" for the Rosalie Van Der Gucht Prize for his production of Cosi.
