Translated into Afrikaans by Pieter Fourie entitled Skelmpie Kom Vanaand.

Performance history in South Africa

Presented as a 1820 Foundation Production in South Africa in 1978. Directed by Roy Sargeant, performed in the Concert Hall, Baxter Theatre featuring Michael Atkinson, Diana Allen, Yvonne Banning, Ronald Wallace. This production was staged at the H.B. Thom Theatre and at the Baxter Theatre in 1979.

Skelmpie Kom Vanaand directed by Fourie for CAPAB opening 12 April 1984 at the H.B. Thom Theatre on 12 April 1984 and at the Nico Malan Theatre on 19 April 1984, starring Johan Malherbe, Neels Coetzee, Antoinette Kellermann, Annelisa Weiland. Decor and costumes Jenny Gillis, lighting Malcolm Hurrell.
