Sapho is a ballet, written in French, by C.E. Boniface.

South African performances

1815: A first presented by Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense in Dutch in the African Theatre, Cape Town (translated by P.C. Schonegevel) on Saturday 1 July, 1815, with music by Mr Lemming, dances choreographed by Mr Petersen. It was the first ballet performed in South Africa. Repeated on 4 July and again 29 July.
