Samoerai is a play written in Afrikaans by Schalk Schoombie.

A play about matric boys, based on the Samurai video game.

Runner up for the ANGLO-GOLD ASHANTI PRIZE (Aardklop-Smeltkroes) won by Reza de Wet's Blou Uur.

Performance history in South Africa

Premiered at Aardklop 2008. Produced by GZ Productions, directed by Ilse van Hemert, with Andrew Thompson (Org); gang members Dawid Louw (Frits), Albert de Villiers (Stanley) and Altus Theart (Victor); Marcel van Heerden (Org's father, Christo), Deon Coetzee (Frits's father, Albert), Zane Meas (Cois) and Nicola Hanekom (Anna).
