A casting directory for South Africa founded and published by Michael Brooke. Originally called the South African Casting Directory, and based on the example of the London publication The Spotlight, it first appeared in July 1973. In 197* it changed its name to The Limelight. The first volume contained names, information and photographs of 182 professional performers. The South African Casting Directory

First appeared in July 1973, founded and published by Michael Brooke. Based on the example of the London publication The Spotlight, the first volume contained 182 entries. By 1981 it had changed its name to The Limelight and contained 285 actors, 259 actresses as well as agents, casting directors, talent agencies, etc.
