Started out at the East Rand Theatre Club.

He acted in Britain for six years before 1961. He worked at the Memorial Theatre at Stratford for two years, did repertory work all over England and appeared in BBC radio plays and as an announcer for over a year. He also appeared in Colombe.

He was kept in steady employment by PACT in 1966. Also worked for Academy Theatre.

He appeared in The Amorous Prawn for the September 1961 run playing the character Larry Hoffman.

Performed in A Long Day's Journey into Night (for NAPAC), Saturday Sunday Monday (for NAPAC), Dracula (for NAPAC) and in Hamlet (for PACT), David Bloomberg's production of Private Lives in Cape Town, Fallen Angels.
