Rohan Quince

Rohan Quince is a Shakespeare scholar and director.

Born and grew up in Johannesburg,

his M.A. Ph.D. in English from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. 


Became Associate Professor of English at Georgia Southern University.

He returned to South Africa in 1994, where he taught at King Edward VII School in Johannesburg, South Africa, and became Head of English. By 2000 he was Director of Sagewood School in Midrand, South Africa.

Quince has published several articles on drama, particularly Shakespeare in performance. His books include his doctoral thesis on Shakespeare in South Africa, for which he received his Ph.D. in English from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

He has directed and performed in numerous Shakespeare productions.
