Robin van der Merwe of Knysna Forest is a "play-with-music" written by Norman Coombes loosely based on the story of Robin Hood. Music and lyrics by Fiona Ogilvie. it is sharp satire, historically and politically, pointing up injustice in some undefined colonial era in the Cape.

Performance history in South Africa

1984: A PACT production was presented in the Rosebank Arena, directed by the author, starring Richard van der Westhuizen as Robin Fitzsooth, Peter Holden both as Gisborne and The Magistrate and Gina Benjamin as Marian van Rooyen.
