Robert Lang (****-1988). Actor, Broadcaster and Public relations consultant, Johannesburg.

He died in Johannesburg in 1988.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

In the 1940s he was a radio announcer at the SABC in Cape Town. He was one of the first continuity presenters on SABC's TV1 in the 1970s.

In February 1962 Lang Organised a Benefit for the young actor David Beattie, to help meet his medical bills. When Beattie died shortly after, the balance of the proceeds went to the founding of the South African Theatre Benevolent Fund.
