Return to the Forbidden Planet is a Jukebox musical by English theatre director and playwright Bob Carlton (born 1950) [1] based on Shakespeare's The Tempest and the 1956 science fiction film Forbidden Planet.

Performance history in South Africa

Presented by 3M et al. at the Baxter Theatre, directed by Fred Abrahamse, from 27 November 1995. Musical director Charl-Johan Lingenfelder.

Presented by Nedbank et al. at the Playhouse Drama Theatre, directed by Trish McKenna, from 28 October 1997, starring, among others, Taryn Sudding. Set design by James MacNamara, costume design by Margo Fleisch, lighting design by Joe Freedman.
