(19**-) Theatre and literary critic, journalist, lecturer, playwright and director. He holds an M.Phil Degree from Stellenbosch University and a B.A. (Soc Sc) Degree from UCT.

His background is in teaching and modern workshop facilitation methods. He taught at a secondary school for 7 years, then lectured in journalism at The Cape Peninsula University of Technology for 11 years (1994-2005), also running the Arts and Culture programme and the “Writing Centre” and lecturing in the Journalism Department of Cape Peninsula University of Technology since 1994. He also presented a feature on Heart 104.9fm with Saskia Falken called ‘Arts Alive’. He was the Cape Times Arts Editor, and for a time a Fleur du Cap judge and Kunstekabinet member for the KKNK. In 200* became a lecturer in Film and Media Studies at UCT and a freelance review writer for The Cape Times and columnist for The Next 48hOURS.

His theatre involement includes being involved with community theatre projects since 1990, and running theatre-in-education projects for youths and adults. He has written and directed several productions in the Theatre-in-education and professional entertainment sectors. In 2007 he and Gary Naidoo founded GANARAMA Productions, a company aimed at increasing communication skills through industrial theatre and edu-tainment techniques. When he is not writing and directing for the stage, he and Naidoo are involved in Corporate Industrial Theatre projects.
