A magazine published on a bimonthly basis by the Johannesburg Reps from 1933 until 1965, the final number being 176. In addition to programmes for the Reps’s production, Playtime also contained various other notices and reports. From April 1940 the Reps also employed its own critic to review its productions in Playtime in an effort at self-criticism.
