Pippin is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (1948-)[1] and a book by Roger O. Hirson (1926-)[2].

The original text

The work was originally conceived and performed as a student musical titled Pippin, Pippin and performed by Carnegie Mellon University's Scotch'n'Soda theatre troupe.
