Biography

He has been married a few times, among others to the theatre theorist and historian Eunice Reynecke (Eunice Fourie).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He worked as literary advisor for PACT in the 1970s and later, in the early 1980s, for the ATKV in its various theatre projects, including Kampustoneel. He later resigned to become a full-time writer, settling in the Eastern Free State to live the life of a hermit, and working on his manuscripts.

During his sojourn at PACT, he was in charge of the PACT library and wrote and translated plays for production.
