Biography
Philip was born in Durban but spent most of his life in Kenya. He became well known for his lively interest in Children's Theatre, and at the age of sixteen was the youngest producer in East Africa.
On his return to South Africa he became a student of the Theatre Academy in Durban, and subsequently a teacher. Being greatly interested in costuming, his ambition was to further his career as a designer.
Stage work
Worked for The Space Theatre in the 1970s and later worked for CAPAB.
As writer/compiler, director and choreographer
He directed Where are you Going Hollis Jay?, compiled and directed Animal Fair and Stories, Folk and Film for them. With Henry Goodman he did the choreography for A Touch of 1900s
