Biography

Peter studied drama at the University of Natal, Durban, did post-graduate work at New York University’s Tisch School fo the Arts.

He was an actor for PACT (??) (19**-19**), appointed as theatre technician and taught design and acting at the University of Natal, Durban (19**-19**). Also acted for the

Emigrated to USA in 19** and became professor of Drama at University of California (San Diego) ***

His thesis, published as Black Theater, Dance, and Ritual in South Africa, is a seminal work in South African performance studies.

Married to Margaret Larlham, choreographer and movement lecturer. [abroad] [McMurtry]
