(1953-) Actor, director  and playwright. * Joined Gibson Kente’s company as actor. With co-actor Mbongeni Ngema he then broke away and they then devised the play Woza Albert! (1981) showed it to the Market Theatre whereBarney Simon joined them as director and the play went on to fame and fortune.*  He wrote and directed Bopha as a Market and Earth Players collaboration (The Laager,  1985-1986). Became a resident director at the Market Theatre.***
