Partners in Time is a musical revue by Darryl Nel (1972-).

The original text

It traces the musical writing partnerships of Jerome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein II, George & Ira Gershwin, Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart, Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II, Alan Jay Lerner & Frederick Loewe, Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice, Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schönberg (all in the 1996 version), and Tim Rice & Elton John (included in the 2001 version).

Performance history in South Africa

1996: Produced by the Dramatic Society of East London (Dramsoc) at The Alexander Playhouse in East London in December. Directed by Darryl Nel, with musical direction by Winston Paxton and choreography by Lynne Stanton. The cast included Keith Smith, Gavin Pretorius, Darryl Nel, Maria de Boer, Melanie Drake, Lizl Rautenbach, Bronwyn Sole, Susan Friedrichs, Chantal Carr, Nobuntu Mpahlaza and Andrew Edgar.

2001: produced by the Port Elizabeth Gilbert & Sullivan Society at the Savoy Theatre in November. Directed by Darryl Nel, with choreography by Jenni Zeelie. The cast included Leslie Speyers, Heidi Kruger, Mark Farrow, Asanda Bhuda, Marelize Marx, Danielle Kellermann, Craig Gilchrist, Anda Govuzela and Jacques Venter.
