CHRIMES, Pamela (1922-1992) First South African dancer to join Sadler’s Wells Ballet Company (in 1936). Later choreographer, national dance specialist and teacher of ballet at the UCT Ballet School. After her retirement devised school programmes, choreography and movement for theatrical productions. (See: De Beer, 1995)

She was the choreographer for As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Love's Labour's Lost, The Merry Widow.
