P. van de Velde was a Dutch translator and author.

He may have been a Cape Town resident circa the 1860s and 1870s, and a member of Aurora II.

F.C.L. Bosman (1980) credits him as the author of a the Dutch tragedy De Oudste Zoon ('the eldest son") (read by Aurora II in 1868 and the translator of a French play called Het Testament
