Otto Bohlman is an academic and former amateur actor.

He completed his schooling at Grey College in Bloemfontein, where he was a member of the Grey College Drama Society and the first person ever to be awarded school colours for drama at the school.

A notable performance was his interpretation of the young king in a scene from Henry V, adapted and called A Little Touch of Harry in the Night and directed by Temple Hauptfleisch for the society in 1970.

Bohlmann ultimately went to the USA to complete a doctorate in English Literature and take up teaching positions there, publishing a number of articles and books on various literary issues and personalities, finally and becoming the Managing Editor of The Metaphilosphy Journal (Southern Connecticut University).
