The name given to the opera hall in all the “state” theatres built by the provincial performing arts councils in the 1970-1980 period.

There is one each in the Natal Playhouse in Durban (capacity 1225), Nico Malan Complex/Artscape in Cape Town, the Sand Du Plessis Theatre Complex in Bloemfontein [**??] and the State Theatre Pretoria. ***
