Olive Wright (19*-). Actress and singer, choreographer, dancer.

Biography

Olive started her stage career as a child in London. She moved to South Africa in 1947 with her husband; in private life she is Mrs Norton.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She starred in Sextet (1957), Ever Since Eve (1958), the musical revue For Love or Money (1959), A Taste of Honey (1960), A Man for All Seasons (1962), Amelia's African Adventure (as Mrs Noah, a wooden doll, 1962).

In 1974 she took part in the marionette play Aladdin and the Magic Lamp as one of the speaking and singing voices.
