No 56 and No 58 Too in Hillbrow, Johannesburg were a nightclub and a restaurant venue founded and run by Barbara Thompson and Ute Hasse from the beginnig of the 1980s till the early 1990s. A popular and influential performance space, it was the launching pad for a number of South African cabaret and revue artists, including Kate Normington, Joanna Weinberg, Natalie Gamsu, Jennifer Ferguson, Mark Banks and Louis Zuppa.
