Niets en Iets, of De Vijf Gestorvenen ("Nothing and something, or the five dead") is a musical comedy (vaudeville) by Dirk Willem Stoopendaal.

Also referred to simply as Niets en Iets.

Sometimes the title is spelled Niets en Iets, of De Vyf Gestorvenen (e.g. by F.C.L. Bosman, 1928.)

Performance history in South Africa

1825: Performed as Niets en Iets, of De Vyf Gestorvenen by Tot Nut en Vermaak on 19 November in the African Theatre, as afterpiece to Edele Harten door Driften Geslingert, of Gevolgen van Jeugdige Ligtzinnigheid (Eberstein) .

1825: Performed as Niets en Iets, of De Vyf Gestorvenen by Tot Nut en Vermaak on 3 December in the African Theatre, as afterpiece to De Kluizenaar op Formentera (Von Kotzebue) . This evening was done as a benefit for "some needy households" in Cape Town.
