Nemesis, a thriller written by Mario Schiess, is the dramatisation of a fictitious fateful meeting between Dr Joseph Mengele, camp doctor of Auschwitz, and a young Jew who has come to assassinate him.

Performance history in South Africa

1988: Staged in the Kleinteater in Pretoria, directed by Mario Schiess, with Patrick Mynhardt (Mengele), Bruce Alexander (Meyers) and Margaret Koch.

1989: Directed by Schiess for CAPAB, opening 8 March at the Nico Arena, with Patrick Mynhardt (Mengele), Bruce Alexander (Meyers) and Margaret Koch.
