The National Advisory Council for Adult Education (Afrikaans: "Nasionale Adviserende Raad vir die Opvoeding van Volwassenes" or NAROV). A council established after the second world war to promote adult education among South Arrican citizens. Since the funds came from this council, it was the body which had to rule on the viability of establishing a national theatre for South Africa, hence the National Theatre Organisation.
