Napoleon Bonaparte, Eerste Konsul ("Napoleon Bonaparte, first consul") is a Dutch drama in five acts by H.J. Schimmel (Hendrik Jan Schimmel, 1823-1906)[1].

The Dutch Wikipedia gives the title as Napoleon Bonaparte, Eerste Consul

The original text

Written in 1851 and published by Loman & Reudler, 1851 and in Volume 1, and later in Schimmel's Dramatische Poëzy by Loman & Verster.

However, although published a number of times after the first edition, Schimmel only gave the leading actor Anton Peters (1812-1872)[2] the rights to perform the play at the Amsterdamsche Stadsschouwburg in 1866.
