A 3-act play set in the Cape Colony during the Anglo Boer War and dealing with conflicting loyalties and generational tensions within an Afrikaner family. Staged by Volksteater in 1945 (dir Anna Neethling-Pohl), first staged professionally by NTO 1948, also directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl, with Hendrik Hanekom as Just.
