Biography

Training

Obtained a BA (Hons) Theatre Design in Wimbledon, UK


Career

Has been associated with the Market Theatre for many years, helping in the original organisation of the Art Gallery. In England Nadya designed Crystal Clear for the Wyndhams Theatre and The Caretaker for the Royal Exchange in Manchester.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She designed the sets for The Glass Menagerie, Nongogo, Hey Smile Wit' Me, The War at Home, True West, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Diepe Grond, Making Like America all for the Market Theatre Company. She also designed Blood Knot, Sing jy van Bomme and the opera Othello.


She has been a design lecturer for Theatre crafts at the Wiwatersrand Technikon.
