(1944?-2003) Film actor. A San ("Bushman") who became the improbable and reluctant international celebrity in the enromously popular 1980 Jamie Uys film The Gods Must Be Crazy. Born in Namibia in about 1944, he was discovered by Uys and persuaded to take the role of Xixo opposite Marius Weyers and Sandra Prinsloo. He went on to make 4 more films, a sequel for Uys (The Gods Must Be Crazy 2 - 1990) The , and 3 sequels for a Hong Kong production house (Crazy Safari, Crazy in Hong Kong, and The Gods Must Be Funny in China) before returning to Namibia, where he lived with his 3 wives and 12 children. He died in 2003. In 2005 he received a post-humous award from the SA Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns for his contribution to South African film.
