Mrs O'Brien (17**-18**) was an amateur actress in Cape Town, or possibly a semi-professional actress.

Her contribution to South African theatre

She appeared for the Garrison Amateur Company as "Lapelle" in Exchange no Robbery (Hook), and "Cicely" in The Midnight Hour (Dumaniant/Inchbald), on 8 October 1825; "Caroline Dormer" in The Heir at Law (Colman Jr) on 16 August 1826.

On 4 November 1826 the Garrison Players put on Catherine and Petruchio as a benefit performance for her and Sgt Corbishley (along with Silvester Daggerwood and A Roland for an Oliver.
