Mrs Arlington (17**-18**) was an amateur, or possibly semi-professional, actress in Cape Town in the mid 19th century.

Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Performed on occasion for the Garrison Players, inter alia in A Figure of Fun, or The Bloomer Costume (Stirling) on 2 May 1854, The Queen's Horse (Planché) on 5 June 1854.

She was also a member of the short-lived City Amateur Theatrical Society in Cape Town in 1854, for which she played "Marie" in The Mendicant (Beckett) on 21 August 1854.

In 1862 she was part of Mrs Tellett's touring company, among others appearing in pieces like The Daughter of the Regiment (Stirling), A Perfect Cure (Sapte), The Old Chateau, or A Night of Peril (Coyne) and The Warlock of the Glen (Walker).
