Mr Stapleton (18**-18**) was an amateur actor and possibly a journalist.

A Cape Town citizen, he was for a brief period the director of a company of amateurs (variously referred to as Mr Stapleton's Company, Mr Stapleton's Party and the Cape Town Amateur Company) in 1829, whereafter is appears to have become part of All the World's a Stage, and Mr Stapleton presumably acted for that company.
