Mr Macklin (fl. mid 19th century) was a British military officer (possibly of the 9th Regiment and/or the 99th Regiment), and an amateur performer.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

While stationed in Cape Town , he is also listed as a stalwart of the Lanarkshire Dramatic Club of the 99th Regiment, specifically mentioned by F.C.L. Bosman (1980, p. 265) in respect of the 1869 production of Villikins and his Dinah.
