Contribution to South African Theatre and Performance

One of the "overseers" (producers) and director of music for the first production of Het Beleg en het Nemen van Troyen by C.E. Boniface in the African Theatre, Cape Town, on 11 September and 9 October 1813.

On 22 June 1815 he composed the music for Boniface's ballet Sappho, for production by Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense, with dances choreographed by Mr Peterson. Repeated on 4 July and 29 July 1815.
