Mr Laing (18**-18**) was an amateur actor in Cape Town.

He helped sell the tickets for, and no doubt acted in, The Mountaineers (Colman) and Fortune's Frolic (Allingham) which were performed by a Society of Amateurs in the African Theatre as a benefit performance for Mrs Delamore in the African Theatre by a Society of Amateurs on 22 July 1815.
