He was a member of the Garrison Amateur Company (see also Garrison Theatre), who appeared as "Stedfast" in The Heir at Law (16 August, 1826).

Biography
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He was a member of the company of players recruited in England and brought to South Africa by Henry Harper in 1884. In Harper's opening production in the newly built Theatre Royal in Cape Town, he was responsible for the "stage and mechanical arrangements" for their production of Faces in the Fire () and The Two Gregories (Dibdin), and presumably other productions during done by the company in the rest of the season.
