(18**-18**) Amateur actor in Cape Town. Possibly Captain Hall, who was the leader of the Garrison Players in the 1850s.

Performed on occasion for the Garrison Players, inter alia specifically mentioned in The Bloomer Costume (Stirling), The Lady of Lyons (Bulwer Lytton)


1851: He assisted in aan evening of "Dramatic Entertainments", including readings from various plays (The Lady of Lyons, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, etc.) by Mrs Greig, a visiting stage artist on her way to England from an engagement in the eastern colonies, took place in the Commercial Rooms in Cape Town in May.
