Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She was one of the founding fund-raisers for The Space Theatre and remained its bastion through its seven year life. Together with Rob Amato she carried on the theatre, now known as The People's Space after its creators left for London.
Her production company, Volute Productions, staged Keith Grenville’s Not About Heroes, at the Baxter Theatre and Upstairs at the Market in 1986. Barney Simon directed David Lan’s Flight for her at the Market Theatre in 1988. Other memorable productions were Gulls, West and Trafford Tanzil.
FNB Theatre Award (Natonal} is named The Moyra Fine Award for Outstanding Contribution to Theatrical Life for individually and jointly continuing to encourage and develop theatre for all in the face of stringent apartheid legislation in her honour.
