The first production in 1987 was No Easy Walk, created in collaboration with Maciek Schejbal; this won the Pick of the Fringe Award at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival in 1987. The Ugly Noo Noo earned five South African awards and two others at the Edinburgh Festival in 1988/89.
