The Moon Box Theatre is an intimate entertainment venue.

Also referred to as the Moonbox Theatre or simply The Moonbox

The venue

Situated in Gerard Moerdyk Street in Sunnyside, Pretoria (City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality), it is situated in the historical cottage adjacent to the Breytenbach Theatre, which had been renovated and converted into a small theatre in 1996. The idea was apparently conceived and executed by students from the Tshwane University of Technology's entertainment technology department and it is primarily used as a venue for for poetry, hip-hop, jazz and house music events.

In 2005 it became the home base for Footsack Productions.

2001: Langs 'n Kannaspad, a cabaret by Retief Lubbe

2005: www. Love In Cyberspace. Co. Za by the 3 Dimensions Theatre Company from Cape Town on 23 and 24 September.
