DOYLE, Monté. (19*-) South African playwright and producer for stage and radio. ** His first play, Time to Kill, was done by NTO as the first production at the Johannesburg REPS for 1961. It starred Heather Lloyd-Jones and British actor Brian Haines. Renamed Signpost to Murder it was produced in London in 1962 (published by French in 1963 as Signpost to Murder: A Thriller). A later play, Dead Silence, was produced in Brighton in 1968. His radio work included *** He staged the thriller Dead Silence at the Alexander Theatre in 1967.
