The film

Based on Moffie ("fag"), a memoir of the South African Border War during the Apartheid era, by Andre Carl van der Merwe (published ), the film was produced by Eric Abraham and Jack Sidey, and co-produced by Thérèsa Ryan-Van Graan, for Portobello Productions and Penzance Films and released in 2019. The script by Oliver Hermanus and Jack Sidey was directed by Oliver Hermanus, with Kai-Luke Brummer, Ryan De Villiers, Matthew Vey, Stefan Vermaak, Hilton Pelser and a large supporting cast (see IMDb (Full Cast & Crew)[1])

Music by Braam du Toit, cinematography by Jamie Ramsay, editing by Alain Dessauvage, casting by Jaci Cheiman, costume design by Reza Levy and make-up by Francesca van der Feyst.
