Missing... is a play by John Kani.

(Sometines written Missing, but not to be confused with the play Missing by Reza de Wet, published in 2000AD.)

The original text

A love story and political thriller about a family returning to South Africa from exile in Stockholm after the release of Mandela.

Performance history in South Africa

2014: First produced 3 - 29 March at the Baxter Theatre, directed by Janice Honeyman, with John Kani, Susan Danford, Buhle Ngaba and Apollo Ntshoko. Lighting by Mannie Manim, set design by Patrick Curtis, costume design by Birrie le Roux, stage management by Marisa Steenkamp.

2014: Performed with the Baxter cast in the main theatre at the Market Theatre, in association with the Baxter Theatre Centre and JK Productions, 4 June – 13 July.

2015: Performed at the State Theatre, Pretoria with the same cast, 1-28 June.

2016: Performed with the same cast at the Iberoamerican Festival in Bogota, Columbia.

2016: Performed at the Artscape Theatre Centre, 9-14 May. Directed by Janice Honeyman, with John Kani, Susan Danford, Buhle Ngaba and Apollo Ntshoko.
