Miss Carteret was the stage name used by C. A. Armstrong Esq, a soldier serving with the North Lincolnshire Regiment of Foot when they were stationed in Grahamstown and Keiskama Hoek (Keiskammahoek) on the Eastern Frontier, 1860 - 1862.

Contribution to SA theatre

April 5, 11 & 19, 1861: Acted in the Officers of the Regiment's play, E. Yates and N. H. Harrington's one-act farce, A Night at Notting Hill. (Mrs Chutney, the Alderman's housekeeper).
