Born in Cape Town, daughter of Jocelyn Kruskal (nee Gottlieb) and Len Kruskal, and trained at the University of Cape Town Drama Department. After working as an actress in South Africa for a number of years, she eventually relocated to the USA.

Her first major role was creating and performing the original Ruth”in Sophiatown by Junction Avenue Theatre Company. ***, Megan.
